8 Kar Naval Unit NCC organized Yachting Regatta Camp Phase-I at Royal Mysore Sailing Club, Mysore from 2nd – 11th October 2023. The aim of the camp was to provide the cadets with information about sailing. Cadets Christopher D’Souza and Aman Kumar from our institution attended the camp.
During the camp, the cadets participated in a swimming test, which required them to swim for a distance of 50 meters. They also acquired practical knowledge of various sailing techniques and engaged in sailing competitions. As part of the camp’s itinerary, the cadets had the opportunity to explore Chamundi Hills and visit several historical sites, including Mysore Palace, St. Philomena’s Cathedral, and Chamundeshwari Temple. The camp concluded with cultural programs and a campfire.
