The Career Cell and the Placement Cell in association with the Counseling Cell organized a webinar on “What Next? Career Opportunities for B.Com Graduates” on 21st October, 2020. The Resource Person for the webinar was Ms. Amba Prabhu, the College Counsellor.
The webinar commenced with the welcome address delivered by the Principal, Dr. Prita D. Mallya. The Convener of the Career Cell then briefed the students about the activities and sessions conducted under the Cell. Dr. Maithili Naik, Convener of Placement Cell listed the activities conducted by the Placement Cell to help students get good jobs.
In her session, Ms. Amba explained about the various professional courses which can be pursued after completing B.Com. She explained about courses like Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary, Master of Commerce, Master of Business Administration, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Management Accountant, Investment Banking, and Financial Risk Manager and so on. She also highlighted the probable duration required of each course and the entrance exams required to get enrolled for such professional courses.
The session was followed by a question and answer round, which was moderated by Ms. Namrata Haldankar
72 participants attended the webinar. Certificates were issued to students on filling up the feedback form. Ms. Muktali Cuncoliencar, Webinar Coordinator compered the session and Dr. Maithili Naik proposed the Vote of Thanks.
