Webinar on ‘Role Of Teachers In National Education Policy’(Awareness, Orientation And Responses)

The College, in association with Niti Aayog, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal and Nirmala Institute of Education organized a Webinar on The Role of Teachers in National Education Policy (Awareness, Orientation and Responses) on March 6, 2021 from 10 am to 2.30 pm on the Google Meet Platform. The seminar was for the faculty members of the two colleges.

Mr. Nitin Kunkolienker, President of Vidya Vikas Mandal delivered the welcome address. Coordinator of the Webinar, Mr. Ainsley Bernard briefed the participants about the Webinar. While delivering the keynote address, Prof. Rajendra Pratap Gupta spoke at length on the funding modalities under NEP 2020. Prof. Radhika Nayak, Chief Guest of the function discussed the importance of teacher training for effective and impactful teaching. Prof. Prita D. Mallya delivered the Presidential Address. She spoke elaborately on the synergy of technology in education.

The webinar included four breakout sessions wherein the participants discussed various pressing issues pertaining to the implementation of the National Education Policy. The deliberations aimed at understanding the current scenario as well as the challenges in successful implementation of NEP 2020. The faculty members also discussed various possible solutions to overcome the bottlenecks and challenges in the implementation of NEP 2020 across the country.

Dr. Delia Antao, Principal of Nirmala Institute of Education delivered the Valedictory address. Through the deliberations headed by various track leaders, the participants brought out suggestions to enable the smooth roll out and implementation of the National Education Policy in the country. 73 participants attended the sessions.
