Video Making Competition Titled ‘Commemorating The Unsung Women Martyrs of The Indian Freedom Movement’

The Women’s Cell of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics had organized a Video-Making Competition for the Schools in Goa on the topic “Commemorating the Unsung Women Martyrs of the Indian Freedom Movement” as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (2021-2022).

The College received 11 Videos from 10 schools in Goa and the judges for the competition were; Mr. Sandesh Gaundalkar, Asst. Professor in Computer Science, Ms. Samiksha Vengurlekar, Asst. Professor in English and Ms. Swati Bhat, Asst. Professor in Commerce

The First place was bagged by Miss Aliya Hittlaman and Miss Sakshi Swain from Bhatikar Model High School, Margao, the second place was bagged by Mr. Rishabh Chawan and Mr. Sairaj Erkal from Ravindra Kelekar High School, Margao and the third place was bagged by Miss Shradha Sawant and Mr. Adarsh Yadav from Deepvihar High School, Vasco.

The prize distribution of the competition was scheduled on 15th August, 2022. The Teacher In charge, Asst. Professor in Commerce, Ms. Nishigandha Naik Gaonkar welcomed the gathering. Principal Prof. Prita D. Mallya addressed the audience and mentioned about the sacrifices and contributions done by the unsung warriors in Indian Freedom Movement. She congratulated the winners and expressed her gratitude to the participants for their entries.

Trophies and Certificate of Merit was awarded to the winners in the hands of Principal and Vice-Principal of the College. The prize distribution ended with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Convenor of the Women’s Cell (2021-2022), Dr. Sheetal Arondekar.
