The students council of the College organized a Valedictory Function (Prize Distribution Ceremony) for the student who won the various events organised by Students’ Council during the academic year 2021-22. The Students’Council organised Fun week in December 2021 in collaboration with the Cultural Council. As a part of the Fun week, various on-stage as well as off- stage events were organised for the students of the College. Some of the competitions organised under this activity were DIY competition, Meme War, Mask Painting, Pick and Speak Competition, Card Making Competition, Star Making Competition, Wreath Making Competion, etc. The Students’ Council also organised Damodar Utsav in May 2022. As a part of Damodar Utsav, competitons like Dance Competition, Fashionista – A Fashion Show Event, Lord & The Lady – Mr. & Miss Damodar, Face Painting, Wordsorth, Floral Rangoli Competition, etc. were organised. A Poster Making Competition on Joy of Giving activity was also organised by the student’s council in the month of May 2022.
For the students who won the competitions, a Prize distribution ceremony was organised on 21st May 2022. The function began with a welcome address by Dr. Rodney DSilva, Vice Principal of the College. Dr. DSilva congratulated all the winners for putting their hard efforts and showcasing their talents. Dr. Lira Gama, Convenor of Students’ Council presented the awards to the students. The students were awarded with merit certificates and attractive trophies. In this ceremony, the Student’s Council members who actively put in their hard efforts to organise all the activities throughout the years were also felicitated.
The students enthusiastically expressed their joy for being felicitated by the College for the events they participated in. The faculty in-charges of Students’Council, Ms. Lizette DCosta, Ms. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar, Ms. Ashwini Devari, Ms. Sneha Prabhudessai and Ms. Pooja Shanbhag actively took part in organising this event. Mr. Gourish Bhatikar, General Secretary of the College, proposed the Vote of Thanks for the function. The function ended with a brief photo session and light refreshments for the students after singing the National Anthem.
