The Cultural Council organised the U. N. Bene Quiz competition on 24th January 2024 at the Conference Hall of Ravindra Bhavan. The Quiz competition began at noon and concluded at 2 pm. The Quiz Masters for the competition were Mr. Anish Dhopeshwarkar and Mr. Suraj Kamat.
Nine colleges participated in the quiz, which began with a Written round, wherein thirty General Knowledge questions were displayed on the screen, with successive questions put forth after each minute. It was an elimination round and four teams qualified for the next level – the Buzzer round. A total of 25 questions were asked for the Buzzer round, based on topics like science and technology, culture and heritage, business, economy, music, and entertainment.
The efforts put in by the Quizmasters during the conduct of the quiz were commendable as they were able to make the quiz engaging and entertaining for both the participants and the audience. The participants were having a tough time answering whilst also showing excitement to answer each question.
The Quiz ended with the final question in round two being asked and the winners emerged for answering the most number of questions correctly. The first place was secured by G. R. Kare College of Law; the second place went to Rosary College of Commerce and Arts. The winners received a cash prize of Rs. 7000 and the Runners-up got Rs. 5000.
Assistant Professors Dr. Monica M. Patil and Ms. Swati Bhat were the coordinators of the programme. Advaith Ainapur, Tanisha Naik, and Aachal Naik were the student coordinators, and Dhruv, Arti Solanki, and Anirudh Solanki were the student volunteers for the event.
