TRAINING SESSIONS ON DIGITAL PAYMENT MODES

digital paymentFollowing the direction of MHRD, Govt. of India, VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, enthusiastically took up measures to put into practice as well as to train and equip its faculty members, staff and students to bring awareness in the society. The process started with an online volunteer registration drive.

Subsequently training sessions were conducted on digital payment modes for faculty members, staff and students of the college from 2nd to 4th January 2017. The exercise was undertaken by the Dept of Computer Science under the supervision of faculty members Mr Sumit Kumar and Mr Gajanan Nial from the dept. Apart from conducting the session for the faculty, the two faculty members selected and trained a group of 15 students from BCA who in turn went in smaller groups to all the classes of B.COM, BBA, BCA & MCOM and trained their fellow students.

The training sessions focused on digital payment modes especially USSD (unstructured supplementary service data), UPI (unified payment interface), use of cards and POS & AEPS (Aadhar enabled payment services).
