The Future Skills Group of TechTrendz Club of the Department of Computer Science organized DebateBots – a debate competition for its BCA and B.Voc(ST) students on 29th October 2022 from 12.00 to 2.00 pm. The members of the organizing team were Ms. Ruchika Chaudhari from TY BCA-A, Mr. Muheet Bhat from SY B.Voc(ST), Mr. Arif Shaikh from FY BCA-A, Mr. Neeraj Amol Aroskar from FY BCA-B, and Mr. Shahid Shaikh, Mr. Mujimil Moosa Shaikh, Mr. Hema Parab and Ms. Rashmi Kallimani from FY B.Voc(ST).
The compere for the event was Ms. Ruchika Chaudhari from TY BCA-A. The competition was conducted in 3 rounds in the area of Information Technology. A total of 12 students (2 per team) participated. After Round 1, 3 of the 6 particiapting teams qualified for Round 2. After Round 2, 2 teams qualified for Round 3. The winners of Debate Bots were Mr. Neeraj Naik from TY B.Voc(ST) and Mr. Darren Dias from TY BCA-A.
The brochure for the event was designed by Mr. Kris Rego from TY B.Voc(ST). The Google form and collage were madeby Mr. Arif Shaikh from FY BCA-A. The video featuring the event was made by Mr. Neeraj Amol Aroskar from FY BCA-B. Mr. Shahid Shaikh from FY B.Voc(ST) shared the rules on Google sites. The students of the organising team were guided by Mr. Andre Pacheco, Mr. Wendham Gray and Ms. Rajlaxmi S. Nair. Technical assistance was provided by Mr. Punarva Prabhu Dessai, System Administrator. Mr. Allan Braganca and Ms. Preeti Dhoble, lab instructors, provided the required help for the event. Head of the Computer Science Department Mr. Sumit Kumar provided the necessary guidance for the event.
