The Programming Group of TechTrendz Club of the Department of Computer Science organized Code Smasher-a programming and debugging competition for its BCA and B.Voc.(ST) students on 22nd October 2022 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. The members of the organising team were Mr. Cliffton Andrade, Mr. Beriston Coutinho, Mr. Ram Amonkar, Mr. Joy Fernandes, Mr. Ethan Fernandes, and Mr. Steven Rodrigues from SY BCA-A.
The competition was based on the C programming language and was conducted in three rounds. In Round 1, students had to answer MCQsfor 5 minutes. Round 2 was to complete the incomplete sections of the programme for 20 minutes. Lastly, within a 25-minute time frame, the participants had to write a C programme for the given output. Participants were allowed to answer all the rounds. The students were allowed to participate as individuals or in teams of two members. A total of 31 students participated in the competition. FY BCA students, Ms. Shrawya Shetty, Mr. Abhishek Kesavan & Mr. Jayden Fernandes, Mr. Rishabh Arolkar & Mr. Valencio Monteiro, won the first, second and third place respectively.
The brochure for this event was designed by Mr. Cliffton Andrade and Mr. Ram Amonkar from SY BCA-A. The photography was done by Mr. Beriston Coutinho, the Google form was made by Mr. Ethan Fernandes, the collage was made by Mr. Steven Rodrigues, and the video featuring the event was made by Mr. Joy Fernandes, from SY BCA-A. The students of the organising team were guided by Mr. Andre Pacheco, Ms. Arti Naik and Ms. Rajlaxmi S. Nair.Head of the Computer Science Department Mr. Sumit Kumar provided the necessary guidance for the event.
