The Department of Computer Science organized ‘Future on the Screen’ Competition for the students of FY, SY and TY BCA and FY B.Voc. on 11th January, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Lab 3. The objective of organizing this competition was to provide students with an opportunity to design a PowerPoint presentation based on a given topic, which they have to finally present in front of the judges.
The competition was organized by TY BCA students viz. Pranav Rivankar, Semiulla Yallapur, Shreya Naik and Sibyl Sequeira. Teachers in charge for the competition were Mr. Bhiku Bhave, Ms. Madhumeeta Dhar and Ms. Sweta Shet Verenkar. Judges for the competition were Ms. Namita Neurenkar and Ms. Annette Santimano.
The winners of the competition were:
1st Place: Siddhant Kholkar and Jaynold Baretto from TYBCA (Cyber Security)
2nd Place: Noel Fernandes and Stoline Fernandes from B.Voc. (Quantum Computing)
Simplicio D`Souza and Damodar Naik from SYBCA (Virtual Reality)
3rd Place: Neha Satodkar and Namita Mahale from SYBCA (IOT)
4th Place: Anish Gundapalu and Prateek Faldessai from FYBCA (BioPrinting)
The students showed great enthusiasm and willingness to explore their skills through this competition. Students expressed that they look forward for more such competitions which focus on creativity and application of knowledge.
