Tech Trendz – Brainstorming Session for Competitive Excellence

The Department of Computer Science organized a “Brainstorming Session for Competitive Excellence” for all students (BCA &B.Voc) of the Department on Saturday, 17th August 2019. The objective of conducting Tech Trendz Activities is overall development of each student, sometimes as a leader to lead the team and at other times, to showcase his/her skills as a participant.

The TechTrendz Club comprises of three groups of students namely Group A, Group B & Group C. Each of the groups has a mix of students from FY,SY and TY BCA & FYB.Voc. Students are assigned to groups based on their interests in the area of Software Development, Multimedia & Future Technology. Each group was assigned Faculty In-charges to conduct the Brainstorming Session in different Classrooms group-wise and category-wise.

The Faculty In-charges were Ms. Namita Neurenkar& Ms. Akshada Hegde for Group A, Mr. Sumit Kumar & Ms. Surekha Patil for Group B and Ms. Sweta P. Shet Verenkar & Mr. Bhiku Bhave for Group C. Ms. Madhumeeta Dhar, Ms. Venisa D’Costa, Ms. Mervia Andrade & Mr. Azzan Dias provided the required help for smooth conduct of the Tech Trendz Activity.

Group A executed “Brainstorm” session in which 21 students build up various ideas for competitions. The various competitions chalked out in each Category are as follows:

Group B executed “Competition for Competitions” session in which 17 students explored the various types of competitions in each Category.

Group C executed “Boost Up the Competitive Spirit” session in which 21 students pooled their thoughts and generated ideas for various competitions in all categories.

In all 59 Students together designed and drafted 16 unique ideas ready for execution. The outcome of this session showed an increased level of confidence among students to be a part of a group & ignite their competitive spirit.
