Teachers’ Day Celebration

The Students’ Council of the College organized Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2023. The event was a heartfelt tribute to honor the dedication and contributions of our esteemed educators. Through a series of engaging activities and performances, students expressed their deep respect and gratitude for the teachers who play a pivotal role in shaping the future generation. The day was marked by a spirit of togetherness and unity, symbolizing the strong bond between teachers and students.

The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of our College Principal, Prof. Prita D. Mallya, and the Vice Principal, Dr. Edwin Barreto, along with other staff members who added significance to the event. The event followed a well-organized schedule, featuring a diverse range of Onstage and Offstage activities that captivated the audience and celebrated the essence of Teachers’ Day.

On Stage events:

First Year students showcased their musical talents by presenting soulful songs that encapsulated the spirit of camaraderie and companionship. This was followed by a beautiful solo dance performance by S.Y.B.Com student Ms. Poonam. A group of S.Y.B.Com students: Ms. Siddhi and her group showcased their talents through an electrifying dance performance and added a burst of energy to the celebration. The audience was treated to a lively skit performance by Mr. Kewal and team, which humorously depicted a scene of a classroom where students and teacher interact. A beautiful dance performance by Ms. Vishaka and her group showcased their talents with their graceful moves.  The onstage celebration concluded on a grateful note with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Lira Gama. Her words expressed appreciation for everyone’s involvement in making the event a resounding success. Students Soham Gharse, Aditi Satardekar, Rahul, Advaith, Shreya, and Brionna Noronha were the comperes for the event.

Off Stage events:

Two off-stage competitions were organized as Inter-department competitions, providing teachers with an opportunity to participate.

Treasure Hunt: Seven teams, each consisting of four members, participated in a thrilling treasure hunt competition. The winners of this competition were from the Department of Commerce, including Mr. Ainsley Bernard, Ms. Swati Bhat, Ms. Pooja Shanbhag, and Ms. Marjina Shaikh.

Potluck: Seven teams, each comprising three members, participated in the potluck competition. The winning team was from the Department of Management, with members Ms. Snehal Alve, Ms. Ashwini Devari, and Ms. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar.

The Teachers’ Day celebration was a remarkable and heartwarming event that showcased the deep bond between students and their educators.
