BBA(FS) Department organised a talk by CA. Satyaprakash Kamat on using excel in Finance on 10th September 2015.
Principal welcommed the gattering followed by speech by CA Anup Borkar. The Registrar of the Company gave an inspiring talk on investor awareness. He motivated the students to help in the development of society.
CA. Satyaprakash Kamat commenced the session by talking about the importance of Excel and how all financial calculations can be done using Excel. After providing the theoretical knowledge, Mr. Kamat started with the practical session.
The practical session included calculation of EMI’s, Age and the loan payments. This session was linked to the theoretical knowledge students get through the syllabus. He also taught the students important basic and financial formulas which can help the students in their near future.
The session ended by guiding students for careers in accounting.
