The Value Education Cell of the College organized a talk on Swami Vivekananda in association with NSS on 23rd January 2017. The Resource person for the talk was Dr. Bhalerao, a retired Professor and Head, Dept. of Zoology at Devchand College, Nipani.
Dr. Bhalerao has been associated with the Ramakrishna Mission for the past 40 years spreading the message of Swami Vivekananda among the youth. In his address he highlighted the values of truth and fearlessness as displayed in the life of Swami Vivekananda. He also focused on the need for developing muscles of iron and nerves of steel as there can be no healthy mind without a healthy body. He also urged students to develop the power of concentration of mind, as much can be achieved by concentration.
Dr. Bhalerao gave many examples from Swami Vivekananda’s life, his address at the American “World Parliament of Religions”, his return to India and setting up of the Ramakrishna Mission etc.
