On 14th July 2018, the Women’s Cell in association with the Life Skills Cell of the College oragnized a session on the topic Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace: Its prevention, prohibition and redressal for the students of First Year B.Com/BBA(FS)/BCA. The talk was organised to educate and make students aware about their rights pertaining to sexual harassment. The resource person for the session was Adv. Sphurti Kothari. The resource person briefed the students about the different situations that lead to harassment, women’s rights at the work place, the related laws and the concerned authorities they need to report to in case of any adverse situation. The resource person also highlighted the consequences faced by the victim under such cases, especially if they are not reported. She also presented some case studies for better understanding of the students. The session was attended by around 350 students.
