The Department of Computer Applications of MES Vasant Joshi College, Zuarinagar, Goa, organized a State-level IT event ‘GENESIS 6.0’ on 10th February 2024 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for students pursuing B.C.A, B.Sc. (Computer Science), M.C.A, M.Sc, and Engineering. 7 Colleges across Goa participated in the event. The event aimed at providing a platform for prospective IT graduates to showcase their talent in the field of computing and creativity. 17 students from the BCA and B.Voc.(ST) programme of our college participated in the event.
The event was divided into 5 major events such as the Pre-event, Cultural event, Tech event, Sport event, and Gaming events. A student of TY BCA, Mr. Siddhivinayak Hadapad, won first place in Code Converse (Debate competition). Overall, Rosary College of Commerce and Arts won the event. Ms. Vinaya Kirloskar, Assistant Professor in Commerce, accompanied the students for the event.
