Assistant professor Gajanan B. Haldankar accompanied two teams from the College represented by two students each, viz. Kezia Da Costa &Yeshda S. Prabhu from TY B.Com, and Shreya D. Naik & Amisha Lotlikar from FY B.Com to participate in a PowerPoint competition on the topic “Innovative use of Social and Digital Media for Enhancing Voluntary Tax Compliance” organised by Income Tax Department of Goa in association with S.S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics on 23rd July 2019. 9 teams participated. The judges for the competition were Smt. Bhavna C Yashroy, Commissioner of Income Tax Department (TDS, Panaji), Shri Meghnath K Chowhan, Additional Commissioner (TDS, Panaji), and Miss Tvara Misra Asst. Commissioner (IT Panaji). All teams successfully expressed their views and ideas on the topic. The competition ended at around 2.00 p.m. Kezia Da Costa &Yeshda S. Prabhu from TY B.Com won the second prize. Subsequently, on 24th July 2019 winners were felicitated on “Income Tax Day” celebration at Panaji.
