The Department of I.T. in association with the NSS Unit of the College conducted an awareness Session on Use of Digital Payment Systems and Security Practices as a part of its outreach activity on 7th March 2019. We visited 2 schools in Margao namely Adarsh High School and Popular High school and addressed the students of class 8 and 9 respectively. 9 students of F.Y.BCom Div B (Computer Applications) participated in the activity. The topics covered in the session were Digital India Initiative, Going cashless through Mobile banking, Online payment of Electricity and Water Bills, Online booking of Railway and Airline tickets and Safety practices to follow during online banking. The session was well received by the students and teachers of both schools.
