To commemorate National Youth Day, the NSS Unit, Value Education Cell and NDLI Club had organized a session on “Swami Vivekananda’s Message for the Youth’ by Dr R.J Bhalerao on 18th January 2023. The programme started at 12 pm by offering a flower garland to Swami Vivekananda’s photo. The welcome address was given by the Principal Prof. Prita D. Mallya followed by introduction of the guest speaker.
Dr. Bhalerao began the session with a story from Swami Vivekananda’s childhood highlighting that truth always triumphs. He also emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle including exercise. The students were also made aware of the various facts about Swami Vivekananda focusing on his physical attributes and his life journey.
The programme ended at 1.15 pm with a Vote of Thanks by Lavanya Mhapsekar. The activity was coordinated by NSS POs Mr. Gajanan Haldankar, Mr. Sanjay Velip & Ms. Namrata Ugvekar, Ms. Marjina Shaikh, Convenor of Value Education Cell and NDLI Club President Mrs. Manasi D. Rege.
