The P. G. Department of Commerce (M.Com) organized a Session on ‘Research Paper Writing Skills’ on 13th September 2022. This session was conducted online via Google meet. The Resource Person for the session was Mr. Rahul Bhanubhai Chauhan, Assistant Professor at Parul Institute of Business Administration, Parul University Baroda Gujarat. The aim of the session was to create awareness about Research Paper and how to write an effective Research Paper. A total of 65 students from M.Com as well as other programmes attended the session. Ms. Valencia Baptista, Asst. Professor in Commerce gave a brief introduction about Research paper and welcomed the audience. Ms. Suveda Prabhu from M.com Part 1 welcomed and introduced the Resource Person.
Mr. Rahul Bhanubhai Chauhan commenced the session by giving a brief overview on Research Paper writing. He spoke about Publons which is a commercial website that provided a free service for academics to track, verify, and showcase their peer review and editorial contributions for academic journals. Mr. Rahul explained that Publication is an important part of communication and helps new finding for own and other fellow researchers. Mr. Rahul then spoke about ‘Roadmap’ which provides stage wise breakup of how to write a Research Paper. Important topics like Stages of Publication, Journal Selection, Editorial & Review Process were also covered. Mr. Rahul also emphasized on ethics in research paper writing. He showed few International Journals and demonstrated how to gain access to them. Finally, Mr. Rahul encouraged the students to write a Research Paper in Future.
It was an informative session, as the students learned as well cleared their doubts about the various aspects and issues related to Research Paper Writing Skills. The program concluded at 8.30 pm with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Shruti Pai Khot from M.com Part 1.
