The Career and Placement Cell of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & organized a session on “Pursuing A Career in Advertising and Marketing” on August 16, 2019. The Guest faculty for the Programme was Mr. Allwyn Joseph, Account Manager at Indeed.com, who has completed his M.Com from this College.
The primary objective of the talk was to make the students aware about the various career opportunities in the field of marketing. During the session, the speaker mentioned the various career opportunities available to students in marketing. He also shared his personal experience and his reasons for opting for a career in marketing. Mr. Allwyn gave practical examples and also gave a brief description on how companies use different marketing strategies to advertise their products. Mr. Allwyn enlightened the students about the new and upcoming marketing strategies used by business houses. He played suitable and appropriate videos to explain certain concepts.
The entire session was interactive and informative. The Session was attended by 26 interested B.Com and BBA(FS) students. The session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by M.Com student Mruga.
