The BBA (Financial Services) Department of the COllege conducted a session on Practical Aspects of Mutual Funds for Second Year BBA (FS) students on 17th August 2017.
A total of 40 students attended the session. The resource person for the session was Mr. Anish Albuquerque, Chief Financial Officer, Imperial Wealth Services.
The Indian Mutual Fund industry is one of the fastest growing and most competitive segments of the financial sector. Mr. Albuquerque provided the students with facts and figures of the amount invested in Fixed Deposits and enlightened them about the importance of debt funds, which provide a good rate of return as compared to Fixed Deposits.
Mr. Albuquerque explained to the students on how to analyze Mutual fund schemes and understand the top holdings in the scheme. Students were given real life examples on growth of mutual fund schemes and enjoyed the interactive session.
