Session on ‘Careers in Indian Administrative Services’

A session on ‘Careers in Indian Administrative Services’ by Shri R.M. Prem Kumar, Ex-Chief Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra was organised by the Career and Placement Cell of the College on August 13, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. Dr. Maithili Naik introduced the speaker for the session. Shri R.M. Prem Kumar spoke about various career options in the civil services. He also shared his experience working in various administrative capacities across the country. Shri Prem Kumar spoke at length about the various benefits of working in the capacity of an IAS Officer. He discussed the various duties involved in being a part of the Indian Civil Services. He urged the students to aim to clear the Union Public Service Commission exam rather than Goa Public Service Commission exam. He made it a point to take questions from the students and discussed on how to prepare for UPSC exams. 96 interested students attended the session. The session ended with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Ainsley Bernard.
