Sagar Manthan Sushasan Samvad 3.0

Sagar Manthan Sushasan Samvad 3.0 was organized by Panchjanya in association with the Government of Goa on 24th December 2024 from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM at Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort, South Goa, to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. The event featured thought-provoking discussions and keynote addresses that highlighted Vajpayee Ji’s visionary leadership and its significance in shaping India’s role on the global stage.

The Chief Guest, Shri Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, delivered an inspiring speech on governance, development, and the progress achieved under his leadership. The event also featured prominent speakers who shared their expertise on various aspects of governance and leadership:

  • Shri Gopal Arya Ji, Akhil Bharatiya Sanyojak, Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhiyan, spoke on “Prakriti Bhi Pragati Bhi,”emphasizing the harmony between nature and progress.
  • Shri Ram Madhav Ji, Renowned Thinker & Chairman, India Foundation, discussed “Naya Vishva aur Bharat Uday,”focusing on the evolving world order and India’s growing influence.
  • Shri Navneet Sehgal, Chairman, Prasar Bharati, shared insights on “Atal’s Vision for Governance.”
  • Rivaba Jadeja, MLA, Gujarat, spoke on “Women Empowerment: Governance and Growth.”
  • Shri Jayen Mehta, Managing Director, Amul, addressed “Collaborative Impact.”
  • Shri Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Filmmaker, discussed “What Dharma Says About Governance.”

The event brought together leaders from diverse sectors, including industry, academia, literature, sports, and entertainment, fostering engaging discussions on governance and national development.

From our college, Asst. Prof. Sanjay Velip (NSS PO In-charge), Asst. Prof. Akshada Gaonkar (NSS PO), and Asst. Prof.  Pooja Gaonkar (NSS PO) attended the event, along with 86 students.

Expected Outcome of the Activity

The Sagar Manthan Sushasan Samvad 3.0 provided students with valuable insights into governance, leadership, and India’s global positioning, inspired by the visionary ideas of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. The discussions on sustainable development, women empowerment, and collaborative impact helped students gain a broader understanding of how governance influences national progress. Additionally, the event encouraged students to critically analyze ethical leadership, the balance between environmental sustainability and economic growth, and India’s emerging role in global affairs. The presence of distinguished speakers and industry leaders offered opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and networking, enriching students’ perspectives on governance and policymaking.
