A Cricket Team comprising of faculty and staff of Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics were Runners up at the All Goa Inter Collegiate Interaction Cricket Tournament 2016-17 organized by GSCOPE from 5th April onwards, at Military Camp, Navelim.
A total of 18 colleges participated fr
om all over Goa. In the first round Shree Damodar College defeated last year’s runner- up Vidhya Prabodhini College, Porvorim. In the semi-final Shree Damodar College defeated Goa Medical College, Bambolim and in a very exciting Final match, the College gave a tough fight to Goa Multi Faculty College, Dharbandora and ended as Runner-up of the Tournament.
Chief Guest for the prize distribution Mr Shirodkar, Sarpanch of Dawarlim Panchayat praised the organizers for giving golden opportunity for all the teachers and non-teaching staff of different colleges to come together on the ground and interact with each other. Mr. Durgesh Prabhugaokar of Shree Damodar College team was awarded Best Cricket Player of the entire Tournament.
