The BBA (Financial Services) Department of the College conducted an industry interaction session for Second Year BBA (FS) students on 22nd August, 2017 at 12:00 noon. The speaker of the day was Ms. Alba D’Silva, Chief Life Insurance Advisor & Proprietor, VEL Financial Consultants, Colmorod Navelim.
The main purpose of organizing this session was to provide students with a basic understanding about the working of insurance.
A total of 52 students attended the interactive session. The session was on Practical Aspects of Insurance and the resource person emphasized various concepts in insurance such as sum assured, maturity value, lapse of policies and revival of policies, surrender value, marketing of insurance concepts, vehicle insurance, mediclaim and also explained the need for insurance.
