The College had entered into an MoU with Goa Institute for Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD), an Autonomous Training Institute of the Govt. of Goa, in March 2022. The term of the MoU being 2 years, it was mutually decided to renew the MoU for another 2 years, i.e. till March 2026.
GIPARD caters to training, capacity building, research and consultancy activities in the areas of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Public Administration, etc. The purpose of this MoU is to facilitate collaboration between the GIPARD and the College to meet the broader goals of training and capacity building of government employees, elected representatives and civil society in the State of Goa.
As per the terms of the MoU, Shree Damodar College will assist GSBB in achieving its goals by providing faculty members to conduct the training, student support for data collection, and infrastructure for conducting the training programmes. The college would also take up minor research projects funded by GIPARD.
The MoU was signed on 6th March by Principal Prof. Prita D. Mallya and Shri Suresh Shanbhogue, Secretary, GIPARD, in the presence of Asst. Professor Dr. Maithili S. Naik, Dr. Seema Fernandes, Assistant Director GIPARD and other GIPARD officials. Dr. Maithili Naik, Convenor of the RD Cell, will be the Coordinator for this MoU.
