Damodar Higher Secondary School, Gudi Paroda in collaboration with 3 MTR Navelim organized a walking rally on 8th August 2022 at 2.30 pm from Chandreshwar bus stop to 3 MTR Navelim. On the onset of the rally Shri Arvind Kulkarni, Principal of Damodar Higher Secondary School Gudi Paroda welcomed the cadets. The rally was organised on the occasion of Quit India Movement. The Objective of the rally was to create awareness about the sacrifices led by our freedom fighters during India’s Independence Movement.
The rally started at 2.30 pm and on the way to 3 MTR, the portrait of Lord Saraswati was garlanded and lamp was lit. The rally reached at 3 MTR at 4.40 pm. In 3 MTR the Commanding Officer Hardeep Singh welcomed the cadets and ANOs and started a session on Agnipath Scheme followed by tea. Later Cadets and Army trainees showcased their various skills in gymnastics and rope climbing. The program ended with march pass by Army at 7.15 pm.
The participating institutions were VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce &Economics, Shree Mallikarjun College of Arts and Commerce, Canacona, Smt. C. T. Naik Higher Secondary School and Damodar Higher Secondary School. 178 cadets participated. From our institution 41 cadets of NCC Navy and CTO Pretty Pereira participated in the rally.
