Presentation session by Research Scholars

The Research Cell organised a Presentation session by Research Scholars on 9th October  in Room No. 115 from12.15 pm to 1.15 pm. Mr. SandeshGaonkar, Assistant Professor in Commerce introduced the Research Scholars, Mr. GajananHaldankar and Ms. Marjina Shaikh. The teachers in charge were Dr. Lira Gama and Mr. SandeshGaonkar.

Research scholar Ms. Marjina Shaikh spoke on her topic, “A Study on Accounting and Disclosure Practices of Cooperative Societies in Goa”. Her study aims to review the present accounting and disclosure practices of the cooperatives in Goa. It also aims to check the existence and efficiency of audit practices and to find out the perceptions of the users of financial records of accounting and disclosure practices.

Research scholar Mr. GajananHaldankar spoke on his topic “A Comparative study of GST working and its implementation in India”. His study aims to understand the working mechanism of GST in India and its impact on the Indian economy.

Mr. SandeshGaonkar proposed the vote of thanks. The session concluded at 1.15 p.m.
