The Training, Internship and Placement Cell organized the Placement Fair 2024 on 21st March 2024. The main objective of the Placement Fair was to provide students with opportunities to showcase their skills and connect with potential employers. The inaugural function of the event commenced at 9.15 am in the Smart Classroom.
Principal, Prof. Prita D. Mallya welcomed the representatives from the various companies and the final year students of the College. The convenor of the TIP Cell, Mr. Ainsley Bernard presented an overview of the activities undertaken by the TIP Cell. He also provided insights about the Placement Fair and its significance in providing a platform for students to connect with potential employers. The Placement Brochure, containing comprehensive information about the college facilities, faculty, activities of TIP Cell and recruitment process was released during the event. Ms. Sheryl Sanches proposed the Vote of Thanks for the Inaugural Function.
The Placement Drive saw an overwhelming participation by 22 Recruiters offering job opportunities in diverse fields such as finance, marketing, IT and human resources. The various recruiters participating in Placement Fair were: SDS Accosphere Advisors Private Limited, Goa Miles, 9 Digit Media, CommScope, GICE, Doshy’s Living Concepts, Yes Bank, ICICI Prudential, Haztech, Rocksport, IWS Finserve, 91HR, Performance Matrix, Baywatch Resort, Autobahn Trucking, Umang Group, Upgrade, Caculo Group, ESteller, Talak Constructions, Kyanite Industrial Technology (Advaitaa Group) and ICICI Bank. In addition, Eduadvice and Bodhi Academy exhibited opportunities in higher education in foreign countries and competitive exams coaching services.
The interviews involved interaction with the company representatives, group discussions and discussion about students skills, talents, qualifications, interests, trainings etc. The feedback received from the organizations was highly positive, with accolades for the students’ grooming and training. The companies informed that they would be in touch with the shortlisted students for further selection rounds at their corporate offices.
The Placement Fair concluded at 4.00 pm. 120 Final year students of M.Com, B.Com, BCA, B.Voc.(ST) and BBA (FS) participated in the Placement Fair. The fair was organised by TIP Cell Convenor Mr. Ainsley Bernard and members of the TIP Cell; Ms. Sheryl Sanches, Mr. Samir Patil, Mr. Omkar Pawaskar and Ms. Valencia Baptista.
