Physical Fitness Camp

The Department of Physical Education & Sports recently organized a Fitness Camp for students from 26th June to 1st July, 2023. The camp was held at the Multipurpose Hall and G.R Kare Law College ground between 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. 80 students registered and 60 students actively participated in the camp.

The primary objective of the fitness camp was to engage students in physical activities following the summer vacation. The camp aimed to rekindle their interest in fitness and promote their overall well-being.

Various activities were conducted during the fitness camp, including recreational games such as Builder and Bulldogger, different relays, Chain game, Coordination game, Tag game, and 5 passes ball. These games were designed to generate enthusiasm among students for participating in physical activities while simultaneously enhancing their fitness levels. The fitness camp also focused on developing components of Health-Related Physical Fitness (HRPF), which included cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Special attention was given to teaching fundamental, locomotive, and non-locomotive movements to the students. These movements play a crucial role in correcting posture and preventing sports injuries.

Dr. Ajinkya Kudtarkar, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, and Mr. Saurabh Raikar, Instructor in Physical Education, conducted the fitness camp. Overall, the Fitness Camp provided an opportunity for students to actively engage in physical activities and instilled a sense of interest and enthusiasm for physical fitness among the participants.
