Photography Contest

In global observance of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Department of Economics & Banking organized a Photography Contest from 17th to 21st October 2023. The observance of this day aimed to promote understanding and dialogue between people living in poverty and the wider society. The objective of the contest was to sensitize students, raise awareness of the meaning of living with dignity, and serve as a reminder that poverty is not only a global challenge but also a barrier to achieving social justice and sustainable development. The competition was open to all students of the College. The theme for the competition was ‘Dignity for All in Practice’.13 students participated in the competition. It provided a platform for the students to showcase their photographic skills and meet the objective of the competition. The photographs were judged based on clarity, capture, relevance to the theme, message, and overall presentation.
