Two students from TYBBA(FS) namely Ms. V. V. Sai Vaishnavi and Ms. Sharayu Devidas participated in a One-Day National Level Students Seminar organized by Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem on 11th January, 2020 on the theme “Responsible Behavior Towards a Green Society: An Innovative Approach” and presented an innovative concept titled “Magic Mushrooms”. The concept dealt with cultivating mushrooms that “consume plastic”. These mushrooms have dual benefits, i.e., they can play an important role in reducing the plastic problem and they are edible too. The concept was appreciated by the judges and the audience. The participants were guided by Mr. Kiran Naik, Assistant Professor in Environmental Studies and Mr. Mayuresh Adsul, Assistant Professor in Commerce.
