Parikrama 0.7- The Conclave: Celebrate ideas event

VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics actively participated in “Parikrama 0.7 – The Conclave: Celebrate Ideas”, a prestigious event organized by Parikrama Knowledge Terminus (PKT) at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on 1st and 2nd February 2025 from 8:00 AM onwards. This platform brought together students from various disciplines to showcase their talents, engage in innovative competitions, and contribute to the exchange of ideas. A total of 40 students from the college, including two alumni and Assistant Professor Ramkrishna Reddy, participated in the event.

The college’s participation was met with remarkable success, as the students secured second place in two key competitions. In the Campaign Art Competition, the team comprising Mr. Shreyesh Naik, Miss Mitali Chari, Miss Pranesh Pirolkar, Miss Devanshi Kanekar, Mr. Nirbhay Dessai, and Miss Mrunali Chari demonstrated exceptional creativity and teamwork, earning them the second position. Additionally, in Base Lagoryo Competition, a dynamic sports event, Mr. Shashank Parab and Mr. Dishant Naik showcased outstanding athleticism and coordination to secure the second-place position. These achievements reflect the college’s commitment to excellence in both the arts and sports.

The event featured a diverse range of competitions across multiple disciplines. Notable events included Fashion Folga, Folk Fitness, Kant Akant, Shark Tank Goa, Rock Parliament, Reelz Campaign Art, Game Rough, Box Theatre, and various sports such as Base Lagoryo, Bow & Baan, Maar Penalty, Tyre Relay, and Koyne Bails. These competitions provided students with opportunities to develop creativity, strategic thinking, and teamwork while broadening their skill sets and enhancing their personal growth. The student coordinators, Mr. Tanish Patil, Mr. Niraj Aroskar, and Mr. Harsh Naik, played a crucial role in ensuring smooth participation and coordination of the college team across all events. Their leadership and organizational skills contributed significantly to the team’s success. The event coordinators, Dr. Sheetal Arondekar, Asst. Prof. Akshada Gaonkar, and Asst. Prof. Girija Gaonkar, provided guidance and support throughout the event.

Expected Outcomes of the Activity

The recognition in the Campaign Art and Base Lagoryo competitions is expected to inspire future students to actively engage in extracurricular activities, fostering a culture of creativity and athleticism within the college. The success in these competitions highlights students’ artistic and physical talents, encouraging broader participation in similar events.
