The Research Cell and Faculty Development Committee organized a presentation by Ms. Sharmila Kunde on December 21, 2020 from 12:00 to 12:30 pm via Google meet. The title of the presentation was “Industry 4.0/5.0 – Getting Our Graduates Ready”. The session began with a welcome address by Dr. Lira M. Gama, Convenor of the cell.
The speaker started the presentation by focusing on the importance of Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 and 5.0 and proceeded by emphasizing the role of industries that will drive the change. The presentation also highlighted the changes that will be brought in by the new revolution and its effect on job prospects.
Further the presentation stressed on the need of adoption of IR 4.0 in India, important qualification & skill requirements, initiatives taken by the Government and role of Higher Education Institutions in planning and providing skill-based courses based on the requirement of the industrial sector. 21 faculty members attended the session.
