The Department of Computer Science, under the TechTrendz Club of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, organized a 2D Animation Workshop as an Outreach Activity on 5th October 2024 in the Smart Classroom, from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Led by Assistant Professor Ankita Naik and organized by faculty members Ms. Sneha Prabhudessai, Ms. Girija Gaonkar, and Ms. Deepti Kulkarni, the workshop aimed to introduce higher secondary students to the fundamentals of 2D animation. The workshop featured an engaging presentation and a hands-on session, allowing participants to explore the basics of animation through sketching and animating images.
Six SY BCA (2 male, 4 female) students facilitated the workshop:

- Daksh Lotlikar (SY BCA, Div A)
- Esha Thapa (SY BCA, Div A)

Additionally, two FY BCA students assisted in the workshop:
- Arya Naik (FY BCA, Div B)
- Sharv Lotlikar (FY BCA, Div B)
A total of 11 participants, including 5 students (all male) from RMS Higher Secondary and 6 students (2 male, 4 female) from Cuncolim United Higher Secondary, were issued e-certificates for attending the workshop.
Expected Outcome of the Activity:
The primary objectives of this activity were to enhance students’ knowledge about 2D animation and to demonstrate the use of animation software tools for creating animations. The interactive, hands-on session allowed students to directly engage with the material, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. Through this outreach, the activity empowered participants with foundational skills and knowledge, fostering their interest in animation design and development.
