An orientation on ‘Goa – SSC & GPSC Exams’ was organised by the Training, Internship and Placement Cell of the College, for the students on 4th September 2023 at 12.15 pm in the Smart Classroom. The Resource Person for the session was Mr. Kundan Lal Parganiha, Mentor, Bodhi Academy. 52 B.Com students attended the session.
The TIP Convenor, Mr. Ainsley Bernard welcomed the audience. Ms. Mansha Naik of TY B.Com A, introduced the Resource Person to the audience. Mr. Kundan began the session by giving an overview about the government job prospects and benefits. He informed the students about the vacancies being reserved for the candidates from a particular state. He also stated that over 40 vacancies that were reserved for the Goans couldn’t be filled in last year due to the non-availability of candidates. He provided an overview about several positions available in the Central Government in various sectors such as insurance, banking, railroads and bureaucrats. The state government employment opportunities such as GPSC, GOA-PSI, and GOA-SSC was also discussed. The syllabus of such exams was discussed in brief and also informed the students about his YouTube channel and WhatsApp group which is directed to help youngsters clear such exams.
