The E-cell & Institution’s Innovation Council in association with SES REC Cell of the College NSS Unit conducted an Online workshop on Social Entrepreneurship for Higher Educational Institutions on October 12, 2020, from 11:45 am to 1:45 pm. The workshop was conducted in association with Mahatma Gandhi National Council for Rural Education, and the Resource Person was Mr. Abhishek Ranjan, Trainer, MGNCRE.
Mr. Abhishek Ranjan shared his wide knowledge of Social Entrepreneurship with the students and informed them that Social Entrepreneurship is doing business for a social cause. He pointed out that Social entrepreneurs combine commerce and social issues in a way that improves the lives of people connected to the cause. He focused on the vision of SESREC (Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhata & Rural Engagement Cell) and shared examples and case studies associated with Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhata & Rural Engagement Cell. At the end, he urged students to participate in the National level Business Plan competition.
