The Readers Club organized a competition on ‘One-Word Stories & One Act’ (Scene from a Play) on 14th February 2024 in Hall No. 2 from 12.15 pm. to 1.15 pm. The competition was judged by Asst. Professor, Ms. Sheryl Sanches.
Five teams participated in One-word stories, wherein each group had to narrate a story based on a word given on the spot, within 5 minutes. Each team got two minutes for preparation. The first place was secured by Jesly and his team of four members Belisma Barreto, Suhani Naik Dessai, Bikram Chouhan, and Rahul Raikar from FY B.Com and the second place was bagged by Soham Gharse and his team consisting of Tanisha Naik, Advaith Ainapur, Vaishnavi Vernekar, Dhruv Kakode, and Suyash Patki.
The One Act (Scene from a Play) competition had two groups participating. Students had to select an act from any novel or fairy tale and act it out within a duration of 10 minutes. The first place was won by Kewell Fernandes and his team members- Altaz Khan, Samiullah Shaikh, Mansur Makandar, Sufiyan Yadwad, and Prem Khajure.
This activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Monica Patil, Convenor of the Readers Club, and students in charge, Koel Jana, Brionna Noronha, Kewal Patel, and Natisha Borkar.
