On the occasion of NSS Day, the NSS Unit organized an orientation program for the newly enrolled volunteers of FY, SY and TY B.Com on 24th September, 2020 from 12 noon to 1 pm through the Google Meet platform. A total of 121 volunteers attended the program. The orientation program commenced with the Principal Dr. Prita D. Mallya addressing the virtual gathering.
NSS Programme Officer In-charge Ms. Sharmila Kunde (Associate Professor), briefed the volunteers on the NSS motto, importance of the NSS symbol and badge, aims and objectives, role and duties of volunteers, as well as activities to be performed in the village adopted by the Unit. The volunteers were told to maintain a hard copy of NSS work record regularly, as and when activities are conducted and submit the same whenever asked by the Programme Officers. Mr. Ainsley Bernard (NSS Programme Officer) presented the planned activities for the academic year and the program ended with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Shrikant Madar (NSS Programme Officer).
