The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Alumni Engagement Cell, hosted a Guest Session titled “Navigating Workplace Success: A Journey through Team Dynamics and Leadership” on 20th December 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Smart Classroom. The session was conducted by alumna Ms. Lisa D’Souza, a seasoned Soft Skills Trainer, and Personality Coach. It aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the significance of Team Dynamics and Leadership in the workplace.
Ms. Petalia Coutinho from M.Com Part II, extended a warm welcome to the audience and introduced Ms. Lisa D’Souza as the Resource Person. Ms. D’Souza delved into key aspects of workplace success, focusing on the importance of teamwork, different leadership styles, and effective conflict management.
During the session, Ms. D’Souza emphasized the crucial role of teamwork in achieving organizational goals and highlighted various leadership styles that contribute to a positive and productive work environment. She also provided practical strategies for conflict management, recognizing its role in fostering a healthy workplace culture. The interactive session allowed students to actively engage with the topic, posing questions and sharing their perspectives on team dynamics and leadership. Ms. D’Souza’s expertise and engaging delivery facilitated a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
50 students from M.Com Part I and Part II actively participated in the session, gaining valuable insights for their future professional endeavours.
