National Workshop on Digital Content Creation For Education

ASSOCHAM Education Council (Tamil Nadu & Kerala Chapter) and KCLAS organized a National Workshop on Digital Content Creation for Education on 30th September to 1st October 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The workshop focussed on E-learning through Animation Explainer Videos with After Effects Motion Graphics and Editing Animating Illustrations through Photopea and Blender Software.

06 participants (Faculty and Students) actively participated in the workshop. Faculty members who participated in the workshop were Ms. Sharmila Kunde, Associate Professor, Ms. Cinola Vaz, Assistant Professor and Mrs. Sweta P. Shet Verenkar, Assistant Professor. Student participants for the Workshop were students of TYBCA, Mr. Shubham Kholkar, Mr. Binson D’Souza and Ms. Shehana Dias.

30th September 2021, day 1 began with the Introduction to the Theme of the Workshop by Mr. Clifford Ambler who welcomed the participants and gave an insight into importance of motion graphics in Digital Content Creation. Further Ms. Shanthi S. gave a brief introduction about the Resource Person, Mr. Stalin. T. M., Instructor & Centre Head, MAAC Creator & Educator in 3d, VFX, and Game Design.

Mr. Stalin explained the Basics of Animation and motion graphics for better understanding of how every digital element can be enhanced in different ways to facilitate interest in e-learning.  Mr. Stalin used Aftereffects software for demonstrating Motion Graphics.

On Day 2- 1st October 2021, Mr. Stalin showed the participants the use of an online photo editor viz. Photopea which was used by participants to create logos and artefacts to be used for animation and motion graphics. Further Mr. Stalin presented the use of Blender Software in a step by step manner. All the participants used photopea and Blender. Resource Person solved all the queries raised by the participants.

The participants got an opportunity to start using Blender Software for motion graphics and After Effects for Animations. All the participants thanked the Resource Person and the organizers for organising such an informative workshop.
