National Level Competition- RBI Policy Challenge 2023

The Reserve Bank of India organized its annual National Level Competition for undergraduate/ postgraduate students titled ‘The RBI Policy Challenge – 2023’ on 3rd October 2023. The competition targets students of the country through three-tier competition tests, viz., essay writing, problem-solving, and presentation skills. The objective of this challenge is to spread awareness regarding financial matters and promote a better understanding of prevalent monetary and economic issues.

Two teams comprising four students each from VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics participated in the Regional Round – Essay competition. Team 1 comprised of Ms. Astha A. Kossambe, Ms. Saakshi Ganguli, Mr. Soham alias Bhuvan Gharse, and Ms. Aditi Satardekar. They were guided by Associate Professor Dr. Shami Pai from the Department of Commerce & Management. Team 2 comprised of Ms. Tanisha Naik, Mr. Sai Sasank Lolla, Mr. Aneesh Sadhale, and Ms. Ruby Mahato, guided by Assistant Professor Ms. Lizette D’Costa of the Department of Economics & Banking. The topic for the essay was ‘Deglobalisation: Challenges and Opportunities for India’. Essays were judged based on content, originality, language, presentation, and quality of recommendations/ suggestions.

The competition provided the participants a platform to increase their awareness of monetary and financial issues and keep themselves abreast with current matters in the subject area.
