The Directorate of Agriculture, Caranzalem, organized the Celebration of “Millet Utsav”- Celebration of International Year of Millets 2023 on 16th December 2023 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. 12 students of B.Com Programme performed a Street Play titled “Millets chi Kani”.
The street play on millets aimed to create awareness about the nutritional and environmental benefits of millets. Millets are a group of small-seeded grains that have been a staple in traditional diets for centuries. However, due to the shift towards more mainstream grains, millets have faced neglect despite their numerous advantages. The street play served as a creative and engaging platform to convey the message of incorporating millets into daily diets for a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.
The street Play successfully conveyed the importance of millets in promoting nutrition, health, and sustainability. The creative and interactive approach engaged the audience, making the message memorable and impactful. The play will inspire individuals to make conscious choices in favor of millets, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future.
