The Students’ Council organized mask-a-thon (Mask Painting) competition on the first day of the College Fun Week commencing from 21st December 2021 to 23rd December 2021 in the college Multipurpose Hall. This was an off-stage event and the competition was held on 21st December 2021 from 10.15 to 11.15 am.
The theme for the mask painting competition was tackling the COVID-19 Pandemic. The competition was organized to explore and encourage creativity in students and offer them a platform to promote their artistic excellence. This contest gave the students a chance to creatively volunteer and submit their artwork by expressing their thoughts, feelings and ideas on how masks can be designed to eliminate the virus for the betterment of mankind.
This fun-filled competition witnessed an enthusiastic participation from all the students across different programmes. On completion of the given time limit of 1 hour, the participants submitted their work of art to the event incharge Ms. Anisha D’Souza, LR Students’ Council and Student of M.Com Part I. The Judges for the competition were Dr. Sheetal Arondekar, Asst Prof. Department of Commerce and Ms. Meher Rodrigues, Asst. Prof Department of Mathematics. Students participated earnestly in the competition. The judged evaluated each entry on the basis of relevance to the theme, originality, creativity, uniqueness, neatness and overall presentation. 09 students participated in the competition.
The winners were as follows:
- First Place: Avani Naik (SY B.Com C)
- Second Place: Simran Colaco (SY B.Com D)
- Third Place: Sanjana Kamat(M.Com Part II)
The event concluded at 11.45 am. The teacher coordinator for this event was Ms. Pooja Shanbhag, Asst Prof. Post-Graduate Department of Commerce.
