“MAECOFIN” event organized by BITS, Pilani

Four students from the Department of Management Studies had the unique opportunity to participate in the prestigious MAECOFIN event, hosted by the Department of Economics and Finance at BITS Pilani on 6th November 2023. This intercollegiate event aimed to foster an environment of academic excellence, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

The event was especially significant as it coincided with the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Goa campus of BITS Pilani. To celebrate this milestone, all departments within the campus, including Engineering, Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, among others, came together to showcase their research, accomplishments, and innovations through a diverse array of presentations. The presentations included posters, models, demonstrations, installations, prototypes, and various other engaging exhibits. Our students had the opportunity to take a look at all the models, posters and other exhibits displayed in the campus.

Students actively engaged in two pivotal segments of the event:

Quiz on Indian Economy: Demonstrating their keen interest and knowledge in the concerned field, the students enthusiastically participated in the quiz centered around the intricate landscape of the Indian economy. This segment provided a platform for testing their understanding of various economic concepts, policies, and real-world economic scenarios.

Crisis Management Case Study: Engaging in a comprehensive analysis of crisis management, the students got engaged into a case study that presented a practical challenge in the realm of crisis management within the economic domain. Their approach, analysis, and proposed solutions were put to the test in this engaging segment.

The active involvement and commendable performance of our students in both segments of the event earned them well-deserved participation certificates.
