The Postgraduate Department of Commerce organized a heartfelt farewell bash for the M.Com Part II students on 8th April 2024 on 5th Floor, Hall No. 1. The formal function marked the beginning of a memorable farewell which started at 10.45 am. The Principal, Prof. Sanjay Dessai gave an inspiring speech motivating the M.Com Part – II students as they embark on their new journey. Following this, Programme Coordinator, Ms. Twinkle Fernandes, delivered an emotional speech, bidding farewell to the M.Com Part II students.
The program unfolded with a warm welcome song performed by Miss Denzilia Menezes from M.Com Part I, setting the tone for the evening. Various captivating performances including dance performances, songs, interesting engaging games and spot prizes along with a fashion show presented by the M.Com.Part I students, brought joy to the M.Com Part II students. A short video depicting the collective memories of the M.Com Part II students was shown, which brought nostalgia to all present. Recognition was given to students who excelled academically and in sports for the Academic year 2023-2024, as they were honored with certificates of appreciation. As a gesture of appreciation and remembrance of memories, the M.Com teachers gave away the mementos along with the class photographs to the outgoing M.Com Part II students. Capturing the essence of friendships and memories, the students posed for photographs near the photo booth, thoughtfully arranged by the M.Com Part I students.
The farewell ended on a high note of cake-cutting ceremony symbolizing the sweet memories shared. As a gesture of goodwill, the M.Com Part II students presented bookmarks and chocolates to their juniors, fostering a sense of continuity and affection within the Department. The farewell was attended by 43 M.Com Part II students. The programme ended at 3.30 pm.
