The Directorate of Higher Education organised a three day program named “Kalpak” – Exhibiting Innovative Projects in Science, Engineering, Arts and Social Sciences, from 26th to 28th February 2020 at Adil Shah Palace (Old Secretariat), Panaji – Goa. This exhibition showcased various research projects done by college students in the form of working models or posters. Along with the exhibition, public talks by Resource Persons were organised on all three days.

Two projects from the Department of Computer Science done by TY BCA students, viz. “e-Rupee”, a Smart Billing and Payment Software and “JAAAS”, an IOT based Ambulance Management Software were selected for display.

On the first day, Prof. V. Saxena, Ex. Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwallior, delivered a talk on “Mathematics in the world of Biological Science”. Application of different mathematical theories and formulas in the real world were presented with examples.

On 27th February, Dr. Debasis Patnaik from BITS-Goa addressed the audience on “Education and Socio-Economic Reforms in Goa”. Topics like ‘Testability of Holistic Science’ were presented by the speaker.

On 28th February, Dr. Vithal Tilvi from the Directorate of Higher Education, delivered a very interesting and interactive talk, “The Wonders of the Universe”.

On all three days students and teachers from different Educational Institutes in Goa attended the talks and visited the exhibition. Both projects from the College were exceptionally well presented and explained to the visitors. The TY BCA students received appreciation and praise for their projects and also received some valuable feedback, which they have incorporated in their projects.
