The Investor Hub of the BBA(Financial Services) Department organized one-day virtual event Fin-Splash 2.0 on 01st June 2022, from 09:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event invited participation from third year BBA(FS)/B.Com/ BCA/B.Voc(ST) students. 08 students participated in this event. The event was organized to select the ‘Finance Student of the Year 2021-2022‘.
The event included a series of competitions:
FINQUIZWIZ, a virtual quiz competition was organised from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. through a virtual interactive platform, Nearpod. The competition was designed to spark interest in the fields of finance and management. Ms. Urvashi Patil, a TY BBA(FS)-A student, won first place in the competition.
TRADE-STATION, a virtual mock trading competition was organised from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Dalal Street Investment Journal website. The competition was designed in such a way that it not only prompted students to learn the art of trading but also tested their knowledge of capital market fundamentals. Ms. Gautami Karmalkar, a TY BBA(FS)-A student, won first place in the competition.
#REEL IT FIN IT, an Instagram reel making competition was organised from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The competition’s theme was Trading for Beginners. The winner of the competition was Mr. Aaron Goes, student of Third year BBA(FS)-A. The winner was selected on the basis of the number of likes and comments received on the reel.
Ms. Gautami Karmalkar was declared the winner of Fin-Splash 2.0 and the Finance Student of the Year 2021-2022 based on her overall performance. Asst. Prof. Ms. Trisha Vadil, Investor Hub In-charge, organised the event.
