The Cultural Council and Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) Club of the College observed International Mother Language Day on 21st February 2024 to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity. The event commenced with the address on the importance of the Day and glimpses of Goan language and culture.
This was followed by a short video on folk tale in Konkani via you tube video. Thereafter the videos made by four students for the competition on the occasion were streamed. The videos showcased the language and culture of the following states: Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Gujarat. Mr. Sandesh Gaonkar and Mr. Sanjay Velip viewed and judged the videos. Ms. Aarti Solanki was the winner of the event.
The activity created a sense of belonging among linguistic communities and sparked discussion on the importance of language. 18 students attended the event.
